Update: An order of protection has been filed against 26-year-old Peoria Police officer Pearson-Boswell.
Peoria Police responded to a call of a male requesting police assistance, in the 3400 block of Basking Ridge around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Officers found a male victim, bleeding from the head.
The man identified himself as a Peoria Police Officer, stated that he had been having trouble with a female, and was assaulted.
The Illinois State Police was notified, and took over the investigation.
According to the police report, the probationary police officer, identified as Larry Pearson-Boswell (26), was arrested by the Illinois State Police, for Aggravated Domestic Battery and Interfering with Reporting Domestic Violence.
Peoria Police Chief Loren Marion was briefed on the incident.
Pearson-Boswell has been placed on paid administrative leave.
