PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department on Wednesday made some corrections to data given on Tuesday.
Health Administrator Monica Hendrickson said a woman in her 90s whose death was reported on Tuesday died at Generations of Peoria, and not at Generations at Riverview, as had been reported.
A male in his 50s who also lived at Generations of Peoria also passed away.
These two deaths brought Peoria County’s total death toll to five. Tazewell returned to three deaths, and Woodford remained at one.
Hendrickson said despite the number of local long-term care facility residents who have died from COVID, she wasn’t expecting state intervention.
“We would know locally here when a Strike Team was in our community through the Illinois Department of Public Health regional office, and we’ve yet to be informed,” she said.
Hendrickson also said 60% of tri-county cases have recovered. She had reported Tuesday 91% recovered, but said there was a computer error that produced incorrect numbers.
The total numbers for the tri-county area went up to 195 confirmed cases.
There were 128 in Peoria County, 15 in Woodford, and 52 in Tazewell.
15 ICU beds were in use, 12 of which were being used for confirmed cases, and three occupied by suspected cases.
