PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run.
Police responded to the 2300 block of W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive of a pedestrian down in a driveway Monday morning around 12:15.
A male victim was located and appeared to be hit by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was not on scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The Peoria Police Department is seeking help in identifying the driver vehicle involved.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said witnesses report the vehicle was a sliver sedan and was last seen driving westbound W. Marin Luther King Jr. Drive.
“There is likely to be front bumper damage, damage to the hood, and possibly damage to the windshield,” Dotson said.
