PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police and the Peoria Fire Department closed westbound War Memorial Drive at Prospect Road Thursday morning due to a rollover crash.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m.
When crews arrived on scene, one vehicle was upside down.
Emergency crews used stabilization jacks, hydraulic cutters, and the jaws of life to free one of the drivers, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.
One additional person in the other vehicle was also transported to a local hospital.
The condition of both drivers is unknown at this time.
The intersection was reopened to traffic around 10:45 a.m.
