PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Firefighters made quick work of a fire at a vacant home Tuesday morning, but an investigation into it continues.
Fire officials say they believe the fire in the 2100 block of West Malone Avenue was an arson, and started on the outside of the home before getting into the inside.
Crews got the fire under control about ten minutes after arriving just before eight a-m at the one-and-a-half story, boarded-up home.
No one was hurt. Suspects have not yet been indeitified. Damage was estimated at only $1,000.
