PEORIA, Ill. – A longtime figure in the Peoria community, and wife of a local elected official, passed away in recent days.
An obituary from the Deiters Funeral Home says Jeanie Cyr passed away Thursday at the age of 62.
Cyr is survived by Peoria City Councilman representing District Five, Denis Cyr, along with their two daughters, and two brothers.
The Metamora High School graduate worked in sales for 25 years for our news partner 25 News, but most recently worked for Adams Outdoor Advertising.
A funeral service for Jeannie Cyr will be Thursday at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, with a visitation there Wednesday night.
