PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman says she’s guilty of charges accusing her of causing an accident earlier this year that claimed one life.
Peoria County Circuit Court records indicate Diana Schick, 40, pleaded guilty Thursday to counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death, and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence.
As part of a reported plea deal, Schick was sentenced to four years in prison on the leaving the scene charge, and will be sentenced December 9th on the DUI counts.
The three-vehicle accident happened February 12th in the 100 block of South Western Avenue. Schick’s vehicle fled the scene but was later found in West Peoria.
Cherish Coleman, 30, was pronounced dead. Several others were injured.
