PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria home went up in flames early Thursday morning.
Around 3:15 a.m., firefighters arrived to find fire and heavy smoke coming from all sides of the vacant home at 925 S. Greenlawn.
Because it was structurally unsafe, crews had to fight the flames from outside the home.
Additional firefighters were called in as the fire spread to neighboring homes on both sides. The fire spread into the attic of one home, and caused external damage to the other.
No injuries were reported.
The vacant home was scheduled for demolition.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
