BARTONVILLE, Ill. — A student at Limestone Community High School was arrested Thursday after Bartonville Police were made aware of a serious threat.
Bartonville Police said on Facebook that despite perpetual rumors on social media, there was no concrete evidence that any residuals from the initial threat were valid.
“As a precautionary measure and for reassurance purposes, some parents and students most likely noticed this morning an increase of Law Enforcement personnel,” the post said. “This is in addition to the School Resource Officer who is always present at the school.
Because the student is a juvenile, their name will not be released.
The State’s Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case for appropriate charges, according to Bartonville Police.
