PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. — A high school math teacher in the Hartsburg-Emden school district is facing a charge of child pornography in Peoria County.
Robert Ham, 40, of Peoria, was booked into the Peoria County Jail on Thursday, February 10.
District Superintendent Terry Wisniewski said in a letter that they are “shocked and disappointed” to learn of the arrest and troubling allegations.
The district told news partner 25 News that says it will pursue its own investigation and take any necessary action.
As of Friday, Feburary 11, Ham has been placed on administrative leave pending resolution of his criminal charges, according to the district.
His preliminary hearing is March 10.
Ham was hired by the district in 2017.
