TREMONT, Ill. – Two sisters from Minnesota have been identified as the two who died when the utility terrain vehicle they were in collided with a pickup truck late Saturday afternoon near Tremont.
Charles Hanley, Tazewell County Coroner, says Ashley Embree, 22, and her 16-year-old sister Sarae, both of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, died from multiple blunt force injuries, based on an autopsy.
The UTV collided with the truck near Townline and Locust Roads in rural Trement just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
Five people in the truck also were injured and were taken to the hospital.
The investigation into the crash continues. The coroner says toxicology tests are pending.
