DAVENPORT, Ia. — Reditus Labs CEO Aaron Rossi appeared in a Davenport, Iowa courtroom Tuesday and left with a September 26 trial date set for the tax fraud charges he’s facing.
Rossi is charged with filing fraudulent tax returns in 2015, 2016 and 2017, before opening Reditus Labs.
Rossi’s legal team is asking the prosecution for something called a Bill of Particulars, which generally is a request to see the evidence the government has against a defendant, including the amount they believe Rossi failed to report on his taxes.
The judge ordered the prosecution to answer that request in the next 14 days.
Rossi was indicted in March on federal tax fraud charges and has since been removed from the day-to-day operations of Reditus. That’s based on a civil lawsuit moving forward in Tazewell County, being brought by former or ousted Rossi business partners.
Rossi is due back in court for a pretrial conference in August.
