NORMAL, Ill. –Electric truck and SUV maker Rivian Automotive is recalling thousands of vehicles, nearly all of the vehicles it’s produced, in fact, saying there is a loose fastener that could potentially affect drivers’ ability to steer properly.
The Associated Press reports Rivian said Friday it’s recalling about 13,000 vehicles because those steering arm fasteners may not be torqued enough.
There have been reports about it, but no injuries have been reported.
Rivian alerted drivers about possible “noise, vibration or harshness” from the suspension or steering performance.
The electric car maker said the fix would only take a few minutes.
Rivian officials expected, with efficient customer coordination, to have all repairs finished within the next month or so.
