GALESBURG, Ill. – Police in Galesburg are looking for a suspect wanted in an attempted murder there.
Galesburg Police say investigations into the shooting reported at 5:00 a.m. Monday led to an arrest warrant being issued to John Thurman, 31, for Attempted Murder and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
Thurman allegedly shot an 18-year-old in the abdomen near a home not far from Main Street in Galesburg, and who remains hospitalized.
No word on where he may be, but additional charges could be filed.
