PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is going to prison for 35 years after he was sentenced Tuesday for eight different felony drug and weapons offenses.
Federal prosecutors say that’s what a judge gave Harold McGhee, 48.
He was arrested last February after a host of illegal drugs, guns, supplies, and other items, along with $6,700 in cash were found after a search of his home. A gun found allegedly was stolen.
McGhee reportedly admitted that he sold drugs to someone back in February of 2021.
He was on federal supervised release after being convicted in 2016 for drug charges.
In total, McGhee could have faced anywhere from 25 years to life in prison for the charges he faced.
