FULTON COUNTY, Ill. – Officials in Fulton County are starting to put out some numbers other than the one we knew about: which was “three” as in the strongest of the tornadoes that went through that area almost a week ago.
The Fulton County Emergency Services Disaster Agency says of 152 houses impacted in the path of the storm, 21 houses are destroyed.
19, they say, suffered major damage, 60 suffered minor damage, and 52 other homes were simply affected.
Meanwhile, cleanup in the community of Table Grove is almost complete, while in Bryant, it’s said to be going well.
Power, officials say, has been restored to all Spoon River Electric Cooperative customers in the area. Those with further problems are asked to call (309) 647-2700. Ameren Illinois reports no outages in the area.
More volunteer groups are expected to be helping this week, and officials are also expected to meet with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency about recovery this week.
