PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria County residents will either already have or soon receive their real estate tax bills.
Peoria County Treasurer Nicole Bjerke says the bills are being mailed out this week.
The bills are paid in two installments; the first due on June 6th and the second by September 6th.
Payments can be made at the Treasurer’s Office in the Peoria County Courthouse in-person. Payments can be mailed as well, but should also include the parcel number to ensure proper credit.
Most banks in the county will also take in-person payment. Click here for more information on which banks will accept payments.
Those who want to make credit card or electronic payments will have a $2.50 surcharge added.
