PEORIA, Ill. – A Princeville woman now faces a number of charges after at least a dozen dogs were found abused on her property.
A Peoria County Grand Jury Tuesday filed one felony count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals against Stacy Mueller, 41, along with three misdemeanor counts of Cruelty to Animals.
Mueller was arrested in mid-May, originally on a dozen felony counts.
Officials say twelve dogs were found locked in a shed behind Mueller’s Princeville home, where temperatures exceeded 110 degrees.
Nine more animals with signs of malnutrition allegedly were found inside the home.
Of all the animals, one had died.
Mueller posted bond and was released from jail. She’ll be arraigned on Thursday.
