SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The billion dollar Mega Millions Lottery jackpot keeps on growing.
Officials with the lottery say no one matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball in Friday night’s $1.25 billion drawing.
The winning numbers are 11, 30, 45, 52, and 56 – with the gold Mega Ball number of 20.
There were nine players nationwide who won $1 million apiece Friday night by matching the first five numbers, but none of those are in Illinois.
Tuesday’s jackpot will be an estimated $1.55 billion. Mega Millions’ all-time record of $1.537 billion was won in 2018.
Meanwhile, the Illinois Lottery’s Lotto game is also in record territory. If you don’t mind winning a few less dollars, the jackpot in that game is $20.75 million – the highest that game has ever been.
