PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Cal. – Singer Gary Wright, probably best known for his 70’s hits “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive”, has died at the age of 80.
Wright had reportedly suffered over five years with Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy body dementia.
TMZ says that Wright died Monday morning at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California, with his family and loved ones by his side.
Beyond his solo hits, Wright was an accomplished musician, having played keyboards on George Harrison’s album “All Things Must Pass”, as well as producing a dozen albums over his career.
Wright was also a member of Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band in the early 2000’s.
