KICKAPOO, Ill. – Both drivers are dead after their cars collided on U-S 150 near Kickapoo Friday night.
That’s according to Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins, who says the 76-year-old female driver from Edlestein was traveling westbound on 150 and trying to pass another car, when it struck the car of a 67-year-old male from Macomb, headed eastbound.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still being investigated, and the Peoria County Coroner is expected to release more details following autopsies.
