PEORIA, Ill. – A Wisconsin man was arrested early Thursday morning in Peoria after reportedly being found with a stolen vehicle and weapon.
Illinois State Police say a traffic stop of a Blue Dodge truck occurred in the area of Fayette and Monroe just after 3:15 A.M.
Mason Farris, 28, of Fennimore, WI was the driver of the vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident after it was determined the truck was stolen. Police also reportedly found a stolen firearm in the vehicle.
Farris was also wanted on a warrant out of Tennessee for Criminal Impersonation.
He was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Obstructing Identification, Failure to Carry Driver’s License on Person While Operating a Motor Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage, and Wanted Warrant.
Farris was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
