BRADLEY, Ill. – One of two people wanted after a suburban Chicago police officer was killed and another was seriously injured late Wednesday has been caught in Indiana.
Multiple broadcast reports indicate Darius Sullivan was arrested Friday in Fulton County, Indiana, on an arrest warrant charging him with First-Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.
Police in Bradley, Illinois, near Kankakee, responded to a call of a barking dog in a parking lot of a motel Wednesday night. They then went to a room there and were shot.
Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic died, while Officer Tyler Bailey is said to be hospitalized in critical condition.
A second suspect — Xandra Harris — remains wanted.
