LEWISTOWN, Ill. – A man who was one of a group who escaped from the Fulton County Jail last summer has been sentenced for the crime.
Fulton County Court records indicate Cody Villalobos, 27, pleaded guilty to a felony escape charge, and to a felony methamphetamine charge in another case, and received five years in prison for each count.
Prosecutors dropped 19 other charges in various cases in exchange for the guilty plea.
Four inmates escaped from the Fulton County Jail last July.
Authorities never explained how the break-out happened, but three were caught quickly, and the fourth was caught later than the other three.
Villalobos received credit for 270 days already served in custody.
