PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics Saturday afternoon responded to a report of an outside fire near 2325 W. Butler.
“It was a dead-end street that kind of came to an odd intersection with an alley, so access was a little bit difficult,” said Battalion Chief Ralph Phillips.
Upon arrival, crews reported the fire had spread up into the eaves and into the home.
The home sustained smoke damage, but all residents had evacuated the home prior to crews arriving.
The fire started in a garbage can and was controlled in roughly six minutes, according to Phillips.
No injuries were reported.
