PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria-based OSF HealthCare is giving everyone a raise.
OSF says its minimum wage will go from $15 an hour, to $16, effective Sunday, with that going up to just over $18 in the Chicago Metro area.
It says also that every employee within eligible job classifications will get pay increases, in order to help attraction and retention efforts.
“OSF knows our Mission Partners have been through a lot over the past two years throughout the pandemic coupled with the increasing pressure of inflation,” said Shelley Nguyen, chief human resources officer for OSF HealthCare, in a news release. “Our Sisters recognize the personal worth and dignity of every person served and the need to help even in a small way.”
OSF claims the economic impact in the communities served will amount to $13 million more dollars per year.
