PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman was arrested by Peoria Police early Wednesday morning on gun charges.
Peoria Police says they responded to the 4200-block of N. Knollridge at around 11:23 P.M. Tuesday on a report of several shots fired.
Officers arrived and located an adult female who told police that she was attacked by a person identified as 21-year-old Nyla Brackenridge as she and a friend were exiting a vehicle.
The female also reported that Brackenridge retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and shot at her vehicle, then fled the scene.
Brackenridge’s vehicle was then located at 1:07 A.M. in the 3400-block of W. Oakcrest Drive in the Lexington Hill Apartment complex, and conducted a traffic stop. Brackenridge was taken into custody, with the firearm located.
Brackenridge was arrested on charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, no FOID, and Battery, then taken to the Peoria County Jail.
