MACOMB, Ill. – Police in Macomb making another arrest, and looking for another person, after the weekend shooting near Western Illinois University that left one person dead and ten others injured.
Authorities say 25-year-old Demond Wilson, Junior of Calumet Park was arrested and taken into jail Thursday on a charge of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
He’s held on $750,000 bond, while 23-year-old Donnell Williams of Macomb was already jailed on a charge of Armed Violence.
The shooting last Saturday morning on off-campus housing near the Macomb WIU campus claimed the life of 26-year-old Jerman Beathea of Chicago. Six of the ten people injured were students.
Meanwhile, authorities also released a photo of someone they say is not a suspect in the case, but they want to question him because they believe he has information to provide.
