PEORIA, Ill. – Former Reditus Labs CEO Aaron Rossi has had his bond revoked by a federal judge after violating conditions of his bond on mail fraud and tax fraud charges.
U.S. District Judge Sara Darrow says Rossi violated his bond by selling 17 vehicles valued at around $5 million without the court’s permission. Federal prosecutors previously filed documents that claimed Rossi sold eight vehicles at around $665,000 without the court’s permission.
The documents also allege that Rossi violated curfew last month by not returning home by 10:00 P.M. after meeting with lawyers in Chicago. Rossi claimed he had a flat tire, called a driver, and fell asleep on the way home.
Rossi is awaiting trial for reportedly defrauding a Bloomington company he worked for, Central Illinois Orthopedic Surgery, during a four-year period prior to starting Reditus.
Reditus stopped operations in October of last year after the state didn’t renew multi-million dollar contracts to perform COVID-19 testing, and after criminal charges were filed against him. Rossi is also a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by one of his former business partners in Tazewell County.
