PEORIA, Ill. – A woman from Florida has been sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison thanks to a Peoria federal judge, after she pleaded guilty to a scheme to steal identities.
Federal court records indicate that’s the sentence Jasmine Bradley, 38, received Wednesday on counts related to mail fraud, wire fraud, and identity theft.
Bradley admitted earlier this year that between April of 2018 and through June of 2019, she and unidentified co-conspirators stole credit card information from people in order to purchase pre-paid debit cards, to the tune of more than $131,000.
She had the credit cards forwarded to a Florida address from ones in Galesburg in some cases.
In total, authorities say there were at least eleven victims.
