PEORIA, Ill. – A teen being tried as an adult for allegedly shooting a Manual High School student on his way to school has pleaded not guilty.
Peoria County Court records indicate Jimichael Brown, 16, made that plea at an arraignment hearing Wednesday – a day after a grand jury filed a formal Class-X felony charge of Aggravated Battery.
Brown allegedly caused leg injuries to a 17-year-old male on West Ann Street in mid-November.
Brown could be on trial as soon as March 25th. He’ll be back in court March 13th and remains in custody.
